FBI Director Kash Patel said Sunday that his agency is “meticulously investigating theories and questions\u201d in the investigation into conservative activist Charlie Kirk\u2019s shooting.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe full weight of America\u2019s law enforcement agencies are actively following the evidence that has emerged, but our efforts extend beyond initial findings. We are examining every facet of this assassination,\u201d Patel said in a post on the social platform X<\/a> on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are meticulously investigating theories and questions, including the location from where the shot was taken, the possibility of accomplices, the text message confession and related conversations, Discord chats, the angle of the shot and bullet impact, how the weapon was transported, hand gestures observed as potential \u2018signals\u2019 near Charlie at the time of his assassination, and visitors to the alleged shooter\u2019s residence in the hours and days leading up to September 10, 2025,\u201d Patel added.<\/p>\n Kirk\u2019s recent shooting in Utah has rattled the country and resulted in increased tension in the American political landscape. The Trump administration has recently sought to utilize all levers of power it has in response to Kirk\u2019s killing, partially to send a message<\/a> to political opponents.<\/p>\n The Justice Department has also recently aimed to find a route to bring federal charges against the suspected shooter of Kirk, Tyler Robinson.<\/p>\n \u201cSome details are known today, while others are still being pursued to ensure every possibility is considered. Our primary focus is to complete this investigation and deliver justice,\u201d Patel said in his Sunday post on X.<\/p>\n
