We&#8217;re going to clean up our cities.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe&#8217;re going to clean them up, so they don&#8217;t kill five people every weekend. That&#8217;s not war. That&#8217;s common sense,&#8221; Trump added.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/state-watch\/5490099-pritzker-blasts-trump-chicago\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">suggested in recent weeks<\/a> that Chicago would be his next target for a large-scale immigration enforcement operations.<\/p>\n<p>He has escalated his threats in recent days, and on Saturday he posted an artificially generated image of his likeness as a law enforcement officer. The AI-generated image\u2019s background included a depiction of Chicago burning, with several helicopters and text that read, \u201cChipocalypse Now\u201d \u2014 a nod to the 1979 film \u201cApocalypse Now\u201d and to the city of Chicago.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI love the smell of deportations in the morning\u2026 Chicago about to find out why it\u2019s called the Department of WAR,\u201d Trump wrote, referring to his recent executive order renaming the Department of Defense as the Department of War.<\/p>\n<p>Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (D) fired back in a social media post.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe President of the United States is threatening to go to war with an American city,\u201d Pritzker wrote. &#8220;This is not a joke.
