{"id":1210,"date":"2025-10-19T20:53:28","date_gmt":"2025-10-19T20:53:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/globaltaalenthq.com\/?p=1210"},"modified":"2025-10-20T08:53:37","modified_gmt":"2025-10-20T08:53:37","slug":"united-airlines-flight-diverted-after-windshield-cracks","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globaltaalenthq.com\/index.php\/2025\/10\/19\/united-airlines-flight-diverted-after-windshield-cracks\/","title":{"rendered":"United Airlines flight diverted after windshield cracks"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LOS ANGELES (<a href=\"https:\/\/ktla.com\/news\/local-news\/united-airlines-pilot-injured-as-boeing-windshield-shatters-mid-flight-to-lax\/\">KTLA<\/a>) \u2014 Officials are investigating how a windshield cracked during a United Airlines flight from Denver to the Los Angeles International Airport on Thursday, officials confirmed to Nexstar&#8217;s KTLA on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn Thursday, United flight 1093 landed safely in Salt Lake City to address damage to its multilayered windshield,\u201d a United Airlines representative stated. \u201cWe arranged for another aircraft to take customers to Los Angeles later that day and our maintenance team is working to return the aircraft to service.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>United said there were about 134 customers and 6 crew members aboard the Boeing 737 Max 8 at the time.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/ktla.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2025\/06\/GettyImages-2185019030-e1737486563632.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/globaltaalenthq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/GettyImages-2185019030-e1737486563632.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3810641\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Silhouette of a Boeing 737 MAX8 passing in front of the sun during the flight.  (Photo by Nicolas Economou\/NurPhoto via Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The National Transportation Safety Board confirmed its own investigation on Sunday, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NTSB_Newsroom\/status\/1979962245703483461\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">writing on X<\/a> that the &#8220;cracked windscreen on a Boeing 737-8&#8221; was &#8220;being sent to NTSB laboratories for examination.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>\u201cOperating as United flight 1093 from DEN to LAX, airplane diverted safely to SLC,\u201d the NTSB added, saying it was &#8220;gathering radar, weather, flight recorder data&#8221; as well. <\/p>\n<div class=\"nlp-ignore-block article-content rich-text\">\n<aside class=\"promo-link\">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/ktla.com\/news\/nationworld\/united-airlines-jets-collide-on-ohare-tarmac\/\" class=\"promo-link__link\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"noopener\"><br \/>\n\t\tUnited Airlines jets collide on O\u2019Hare tarmac\t<\/a><br \/>\n<\/aside>\n<\/div>\n<p>While officials did not share or respond to KTLA&#8217;s questions about whether anyone was injured when the windscreen cracked, photos shared with KTLA showed what appeared to be a pilot with bloodied cuts or marks on his forearm in the cockpit of the damaged aircraft.
